We teach children from 1 to 5 years. We strongly advise that children under 3 years of age attend a minimum of two sessions a week and children over 3 years a minimum of 3 sessions.

Opening times

We are open 8.30am till 4.30pm Monday to Thursday. (We have permission to extend our hours significantly when demand is shown).

The school closes for 2 weeks at Christmas, 2 week at Easter and 3 weeks in the summer, as well as any bank holidays that may fall outside these weeks.

Children can attend all the time we are open or on a term time basis which roughly follows the local primary schools.

Fees

AFNS splits the children into three classes, Ducklings (1 - 2 years old), Goslings (2 - 3 years old) and Piglets (pre-school), each with different fee rates.

We accept EYEE funding for all 3+ children and other funding from 1 - 4 years when eligible.

Our free core hours are 08:30 - 16:30 (subject to correct and confirmed government funding). The grant is deducted off the fees, with additional hours at our nursery rates.

Most child care and government vouchers are accepted.

Nutritious school lunches are available at £3.75 per day, Breakfast at £2.00 per day and snacks at £0.75 each. These are overseen by our own qualified Cordon Bleu cook.

School activities are available for all age groups:

1-2 - £1.00 per session (Baby Yoga & Music/Movement)

2-3 - £2.50 per session (Yoga, Music/Movement, Animal Care, Gardening Club, Forest School, Cookery Club)

3+ - £6.00 per session (Yoga, Music/movement, Animal Care, Gardening Club, Forest School, Cookery Club)

Activities are rotated throughout the week so all children have a chance to do all activities.  

Non funded hours are charged at the following rates:

1-2 - £11.15 per hours

2-3 - £8.70 per hour 

3+ - £8.00 per hour
